The Maker

From greenery to glaze.

Muds began with a simple need: every houseplant deserved a vessel as permanent and storied as the life it held. The first pots were made on a wheel in a small Napa Valley home studio, thrown one at a time to repot a growing collection of houseplants as a way to bring the outside in.

Today the studio works across tabletop, sculptural objects, and bespoke programs for wineries and hospitality. Each piece is still wheel-thrown, trimmed and glazed by hand, and still grounded in that quiet connection between the vessel and what it holds.
